FRAME MATERIAL

The choice of frame material is crucial because tennis eyeglasses need to meet specific requirements to be high-performing, comfortable, and practical. Our frames are made of TR90, a special composition of Nylon and Carbon fiber that is 20% lighter than conventional materials and much more resistant to impacts and mechanical strain. The frames feature hypoallergenic rubber grips on the temples to prevent annoying slippage of the glasses towards the nose tip, which can cause distraction and loss of concentration for the athlete. All glasses are designed and crafted to be snug and soft, ensuring that athletes can focus on the game without any discomfort.

There are several options for those in need of eyeglasses for tennis:

SPORTS VISION FRAME: This option offers maximum comfort, allowing for proper ventilation during breaks in play or moments with poor air circulation. Equipped with an elastic cord and adjustable temples for maximum stability, it accommodates various prescription powers.

OPTICAL CLIP: This solution combines high performance with affordability. While aesthetically similar to regular sports glasses, it features a clip-on component where prescription lenses can be inserted. The clip is removable, and if the athlete decides to switch to contact lenses, they can simply use the glasses without the clip. With the glasses worn, the clip-on component is almost imperceptible to the external eye, offering the feeling of wearing normal glasses. The supported prescription powers for the clip-on optics are Maximum Sphere +/- 8.00 and Cylinder (astigmatism) +/- 2.00.

EYE SUPPORT: The Ocular Support solution offers eyewear specifically designed for tennis, providing the functionality of prescription frames while maintaining the benefits of sports glasses such as wraparound design and lightweight construction. Unlike traditional prescription frames, it accommodates a base 6 lens, which allows for significant cost savings in the creation of prescription lenses and expands the wearer's field of vision. This means you can have glasses that perform at your optical frame's level while enjoying the advantages of a wraparound design. You have the flexibility to choose the type of lenses you prefer, from single vision to progressive, and select the tint that suits your needs, whether it's smoke, brown, orange, photochromic, and more. This solution is ideal for tennis players as it provides a wider field of vision compared to clip-on optics and reduces the risk of lateral distortion, especially for higher prescription powers.

TYPE OF LENSES: There are different types of lenses available, catering to the specific needs of each tennis player.

Photochromic lenses: These lenses start from category 1, making them suitable for night and indoor use as basic protection from glare. However, when exposed to intense UV rays, they darken almost to category 3 level, offering optimal protection for outdoor activities. Photochromic lenses are versatile and can be used in various lighting conditions. They are recommended for models with clip-on optics and the VISTA SPORT model.

Interchangeable Lenses (Only for glasses with clip-on optics): These lenses include a category 3 mirrored lens, providing protection from the sun and UV rays while adding a stylish touch to your tennis glasses. Additionally, they come with a pair of high-contrast orange lenses for overcast conditions and a pair of transparent lenses for indoor play. These interchangeable lenses offer versatility and allow you to adapt to different lighting conditions on the court.
